Popular love team and real life couple James Reid and Nadine Lustre has finally confirmed their breakup.
After more than 3 years in relationship, the two decided to have separate ways romantically but maintained their friendship and professional relationship.
In a joint statement released via ABS-CBN talk show Tonight with Boy Abunda, JaDine confirmed their split up but quickly clarified that the reason was not those that have been published in tabloids and social media.
“It’s true that we have split up, but not for all the reasons that are being spread on the tabloids and social media, but because after quiet and mature conversations, we decided to focus on ourselves not only for our careers but more for our personal growth as we are still young and we want to achieve as much as we can,” they said.
Just recently, Nadine slammed veteran columnist Ricky Lo for writing false story about their supposed break-up.
Meanwhile, JaDine remained good friends and will continue to work of their project since Nadine has recently signed up with James' Careless Music Manila record label.
“We agreed that going separate ways was best for both of us. We are in good terms and are still really good friends and will continue to work with each other especially when it comes to music,” they said.
The former couple also thanked all their supporters, the JaDine fans for their love and understanding.
“Thank you for all the JaDine fans for their undying support and we hope you continue to support us now and in the future. We shall forever be grateful to them for their love and understanding. Thank you,” JaDine added.
James and Nadine started their career breaktrough via Viva Films' Diary ng Panget. But their became more popular via ABS-CBN teleserye On the Wing of Love which brought to life the OTWOL phenomenon.
