South Korean film Parasite has made history for bagging the Oscars Best Picture Award, a first for a non-English feature film.
It was the first time in the history of the American Academy Awards that a foreign-language film was named the most coveted Best Picture Award.
Aside from the Best Picture, Parasite also won Best Director for Bong Joon Ho and Best Original Screenplay for Bong Joon-ho, Jin Won Han. And being a foreign language film, Parasite also received the Best Foreign Language Film.
In a statement after the ceremony, Bong Joon Ho said he think we were able to break Oscar's glass ceiling.
Meanwhile, Joaquin Phoenix and Renee Zellweger were named Best Actor and Actress respectively for their films Joker and Judy.
