Cinemalaya as the annual independent film festival went back to live staging after two years of online editions due to the pandemic.
The 2022 Cinemalaya with the theme “Breaking Through the Noise” gave out 21 awards to Filipino full-feature independent films and short films during the closing ceremony held at the CCP on August 14.
