It's indeed more fun in the Philippines.
Philippines has again made to the top list as Siargao Island was voted as the Best Island in Asia conducted by the travel magazine Conde Naste Traveler.
In their Reader's Choice Award 2021 released October 5, Siargao topped the best list in Asia scoring 97.77 points.
Last year, Siargao was ranked 5th in the list of Conde Naste's Reader's Choice Award 2020 for Best Island in Asia.Meanwhile, reacting to this latest recognitions the Dept. of Tourism was grateful that despite the pandemic, the country was still voted by people to have the best islands in Asia.
In her statement DOT Sec. Berna Romulo-Puyat said the award is fitting recognition for the recovery of the country's tourism industry.
"At a time when we are exhausting all means to revive tourism in the country, we are grateful for this new recognition from Condé Nast Traveler.
"This recognition bodes well for the recovery of the country's tourism industry and our latest global campaign More Fun Awaits, which showcases the DOT's preparations for international leisure travel once the restrictions are lifted."

Aside from Siargao, Palawan and Boracay were again included in the list.
Palawan ranked 3rd with a score of 97.54 while Boracay is at number 8 with a score of 93.26.
Other countries included in the list were Raja Ampat Islands in Indonesia at number 2, Bali Indonesia at number 4, Sri Lanka in number 5, Langkawi Malaysia in the number 6 spot, Koh Samui Thailand in number 7, Phi Phi Island Thailand in 9th spot and completing the top 10 is Phuket Thailand.
