Pinoy gymnast Carlos "Caloy" Yulo is in his winning element again after bagging 2 medals at the All-Japan Gymnastics Championship.

After his unlucky Olympics campaign, Yulo was back with a vengeance capturing gold and bronze medals at the 2021 All-Japan Senior & Masters Gymnastics Championship held Thursday, September 23.

Caloy won the Gold in the floor exercise event and Bronze medal in the vault event.

Yulo proved his dominance in the floor exercise event (the same event where he won the historic world championship in 2019) after scoring 15.30 putting him on top of the competition.

The 21-year old Filipino athlete beats Japan's Uchida Hayato who scored 14.700 and Takahiro Goshima with 14.466 for the gold medal finish.

Meanwhile for the vault event (his new emerging event where he exceled during the Tokyo olympics), Yulo placed third with a score of 15.0 behind Asato Keisuke who scored 15.233 and Tanigawa Wataru with 15.200.

Caloy is set to compete next at the 2021 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan in October where he will try to defend his floor exercise world title.
