Held Sunday, January 5 (Monday, January 6 in PH), at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills California, the 2020 Golden Globes is hosted by comedian Ricky Gervais.
Biggest winner for the night was the movie drama 1917 which bagged the Best Motion Picture-Drama and Best Director Award for Sam Mendes.
Joker star Joaquin Phoenix on the other hand went home with the Best Actor - Drama plum while Taron Egerton bagged the Best Actor - Musical or Comedy award.
For Best Actress, Renne Zallweger won for Drama film Judy and Awkwafina for the comedy film The Farewell.
Comedy-drama film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood meanwhile bagged 3 awards including Best Motion Picture - Musical of Comedy, Best Supporting Actor for Brad Pitt, and Best Screen Play.
